Here is a small selection of the companies that we have had the pleasure of working with:
Infinigear is developing a new type of CVT (continously variable transmission) technology for the heavy vehicle industry. Early tests show that the CVT developed by Infinigear lowers fuel consumption and produces a better overall performance compared to traditional CVT transmissions. In cooperation with the Royal Institute of Technology and through financial support from ProEnviro, Infinigear began full scale prototype development in March 2008.
SootTech has developed a more effective method for cleaning the soot pan, which is the heart of every pulp and paper mill. Advantages of the system that SootTech calls HISS (High Impact Soot System), are fewer shutdowns for cleaning and a reduced steam consumption. SootTechs first pilot installation was successfully completed in the spring of 2007 and the results one year into testing have been very positive. In 2008 SootTech was selected by NyTeknik as one of Swedens' most promising high tech companies.
Video Plaza offers a stand-alone online video advertising solution. Instead of the traditional pre-roll format where a 30 second advertisement is shown before the actual clip, Video Plaza offers the technology for employing non-obtrusive and clickable adverts that are shown as overlays at the bottom of the video clip while it is being played. In March 2008 Video Plaza went live with its first customer, Kanal 5, one of Swedens' leading TV-stations.
Avatars United is a social community for game avatars. As opposed to the competition such as Rupture, Curse or GuildCafé, Avatars United is open to all people who play MMOGs (massive multiplayer online games). Avatars United was recently featured on the front cover of Fenix and media already calls them "Facebook for gamers". The market that they are in is experiencing explosive growth and already consists of more than 50 million online gamers and approximately 200 online games.
FileRide has developed a social desktop application that solves a unique problem. We all have thousands of files on our PCs but we often know very little about them. FileRide represents a new take on online socializing where the files that you have on your PC, and the knowledge that you possess about those files, become gateways to other people who have the same files. Monetization will be achieved through highly targeted advertising.
Dimest is a new and innovative way of promoting and distributing music and other digital content such as sheet music. Dimest empowers artists and record labels to promote and sell their music through their own unique artist stores. A Dimest store can be embedded anywhere on the web. Dimest recently signed a cooperation agreement with Warner/Chappel publishing in Sweden for the digital distribution of sheet music.
Nordic Information Security Group has developed a software called Flexcrypt. Flexcrypt is an application for automatic encryption and decryption of emails. Instead of applying encryption on the server level, Flexcrypt's patented technology applies encryption on the client level before the e-mail is passed from the user's PC to the mail-server. This results in a higher level of security, less costly installations, and greater cross-platform functionality when compared to competing products.
Stockholm Viking Center aims to build an in-door facility in the heart of Stockholm where the history and archeology of the Vikings can be experienced. Stockholm Viking Center will engage and excite the visitor much beyond what is normally associated with the static display boxes of traditional museums. One of the main attractions at the Stockholm Viking Center will be a water- based excursion called the "Viking raid". Today there are highly successful facilities presenting Viking culture both in Dublin and York, but none so far in Stockholm.
